Erratum: Association of Asthma With ß₂–adrenergic Receptor Gene Polymorphism and Cigarette Smoking

We wish to make a correction to our recently published article (1). We incorrectly stated, "Each subject is a mainland Chinese family who had completed a questionnaire, given blood, and performed pulmonary function tests as part of a protocol approved by Brigham and Women's Hospital Human Subjects Committee and local Human Subject Committees." Instead, this statement should read, "Subject enrollment started in February 1995, after obtaining local Chinese IRB approval. Brigham and Women's Hospital IRB approval was received in September 1995."

We regret the inconvenience that this error has caused.
